Return to Home Page Update to 2010: Since the article below was written: The syndication referred to in the article below did not take place, and the property remains wholely owned by Carreen and Harvey Lockie and their sons. Simon, Bryn and Harvey Lockie have all gained their instructor ratings, Harvey at ATO level. A new house has been constructed for Simon Lockie, the Airfield Manager, who also runs Parakai Flying School with several instructors on staff. Bryn Lockie's Leading Edge Aviation engineering company has moved into a permanent hangar and he has taken on two more engineers to keep up with the work and an office administrator to help with the recording and compliance paperwork. More privately owned hangars have been constructed, and the final stage of runway sealing was completed in early 2010. Harvey now flys a DynAero 'Club' and his previous Tecnam and Bryn's Cessna 150 Aerobat are 'on line' with two other privately owned aircraft for hire, and as trainers for students at the Parakai Flying School. |
